Our caterpillars have arrived! 6.6.25

This week we had some very exciting post! We had two small pots of live caterpillars delivered so the Ducklings and Giants can watch how they grow and change.
Even since arriving this week they have grown bigger and have been busy eating their way through the food at the bottom of the pot. We have been learning about what will happen to them next through our 'Little Caterpillar' song.
Next week we will be reading the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and learning more about how they will change from caterpillars to butterflies as well as starting our own caterpillar diaries to record what we observe.
We have been enjoying minibeast hunting in the peace garden and out at lunchtime. Maybe keep an eye out when you are playing and exploring in your own gardens or out and about this weekend; we'd love to see if you spot any caterpillars!
