Night Walk! 27.11.24
We had a fantastic time on our 'Night Walk' around the village this week. The children listened so brilliantly to Robin (our guide) and enjoyed learning more about nocturnal creatures, especially owls! It was exciting listening to the recording of a tawny owl (not that we heard one during our walk today but perhaps you will be lucky enough to hear one another time!) as well as looking closely at owl pellets and seeing the bones from the creatures that the barn owl must have eaten!
The children found it very exciting walking in the dark with only torches to light the way. We even had a moment with our torches off to look and listen standing under the trees in the woods. It was a wonderfully clear evening for our walk which meant we could look up and see a beautiful sky full of amazing stars! We even spotted a little newt hiding in the pond in Robin's garden.
What a magical evening under the stars; hopefully the children enjoyed their adventure and feel excited about venturing out in the dark again! Thank you all so much to all our parents and families for coming; we really appreciate your support.
A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
