The Tiger Who Came to Tea 15.5.23

This afternoon we had an exciting visit to 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' exhibition at Shire Hall. We had an early lunch before travelling into Dorchester on the green minibuses.
When we arrived we were greeted by Anne and went straight upstairs to meet a soft and cuddly life-size version of the tiger!! We cuddled up on cushions on the carpet and Anne read us the story in the company of the tiger himself! The children listened carefully and enjoyed joining in with the parts of the story that they knew.
We then split into groups, the Giants setting off on a hunt around the museum and the Ducklings having a play with the tiger in Sophie's kitchen! There were tiger costumes to dress up in as well as a kitchen stove for cooking, sink and tea tables to pretend making food for the tiger! There were also puzzles, colouring and masks to create. The groups then swapped over so everyone had an explore in both the museum and in the exhibition.
Thank you to all the parents who volunteered as helpers. The children were very excited about meeting the tiger and had a lovely afternoon! I don't think the tiger will be feeling hungry today!

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
