'Who Made the Three Bears Sad?' immersive storytelling workshop 29.4.25
We had a fantastic morning with Tony and Jemima who led us in an exciting drama workshop and immersive storytelling; finding out what happened after Goldilocks left the Three Bears House! Tony and Jemima became different characters within the story used lots of exciting props and costumes to engage and excite the children. They taught the children how to use facial expressions and body language to convey their characters emotion as well as how to improvise and lead the storytelling with their own ideas and imaginations. At first, Tony became Daddy Bear who was ever so worried about Baby Bear who was still very sad and upset after Goldilocks had broken into their house. The children were encouraged to find different ways to cheer Baby Bear up. They had lots of ideas and together sang him a song, read him a book, gave him a cuddle, made some more porridge and mended his chair!
After playtime we went on an adventure into the woods to find Goldilocks' cottage. On our way we passed a magical bridge and used our binoculars to spot all sorts of exciting things in the sky above us! When we arrived at Goldilocks' house we were greeted by her Mother. Daddy Bear wanted to speak to Goldilocks but her Mother didn't believe that she had broken into the Bear's house! The children love engaging with the characters and joining in with the story. We discovered that Goldilocks had snuck into the Bear's house because she was hungry and had slept in their bed because she didn't have a soft bed of her own. After speaking to Goldilocks and Goldilocks' Mother, Daddy Bear and Baby Bear decided that they weren't so cross and would forgive her. Goldilocks said sorry and Mummy Bear invited her and her Mother to their house for a tea party! The children joined in with the tea party and loved celebrating a happy ending to the story with Goldilocks and Baby Bear as friends again.
Such a wonderful immersive storytelling experience, thank you so much to Tony and Jemima who made the morning so exciting and engaging for the children.
A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
