A visit about the Muslim faith

We had a visit from Sherene who shared about her faith and what it meant to be a Muslim. She told us about how they pray 5 times a day and how they fast during Ramadan. One child asked what was her favourite thing about being a Muslim and she said that it was prayer. Being able to pray to God (who they call Allah) and know that he will help you in all situations. She showed us the clothes that they wear and how every Muslim would like to travel to Mecca on a Pilgrimage to Kaaba. We were very interested to find out about many Muslim women have had a huge impact on History. It was Muslim women who were responsible for the foundation of the world's first library and world's first hospital. You will also have heard of the Nadiya Hussain, the Bake Off champion and Dalilah Muhammed the Olympic champion. It was such an engaging talk. Thank you Sherene.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
