Abbey Class visit to Maiden Castle

On Monday as the capture for their ‘Romans’ topic Abbey Class will be visiting Maiden Castle and then going into Dorchester to recreate Roman Dorchester and visiting the Roman Villa. They will be learning about Roman weapons and shooting catapults. We will be exploring the differences between Iron Age and Roman Technology.

 

Please can children wear their own clothes on Monday – we suggest warm clothes, sensible shoes and waterproofs.  Please provide a substantial packed lunch in a ruck sack.

 

We are asking for a contribution of £7 towards the cost of the trip – please complete the permission slip at the end of the letter.
