Send My Friend to School Campaign
Today the School Council went on a trip to St. Mary's School in Puddletown where they went to a conference with Oliver Letwin MP and the other DASP schools. They went to deliver their 'rucksacks' which they made as part of the world wide Send My Friend to School campaign which aims to get children all over the world in education. The rucksacks were made from paper and were decorated and written on by each child in our school. They wrote why and how they thought the government could help to get every child into school. Cerne Abbas school had some great ideas and so hopefully the MPs will all take notice of what they have to say! Not only did we deliver the rucksacks but Clayton and Oliver did a fantastic speech to all the people there, including Oliver Letwin, saying why they think it is important that all children go to school. Clayton also asked Mr Letwin a great question. The boys were so confident and the whole of the School Council were all of our values. They were a pleasure to take to this event, which really was a wonderful DASP community event. It was lovely to see some past pupils there too.
A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
