  • Tag rugby Friendly

    Thu 29 Oct 2015
Today we had our Federation friendly between us and Winterbourne Valley, the children loved the experience of playing in a "proper" match putting into practice all the skills they had previously learnt. Both teams did our schools proud and we now look forward to our Tag Rugby Festival next term.
  • ‘Safety Week’

    Mon 19 Oct 2015

On Monday we will be having an ‘E Safety’ Day as part of our ‘Safety Week’.  Each class will have an e-safety workshop led by the Dorset Safer Schools and Communities team.  The aim is to teach every child the importance of being safe online.  Following a cancellation we are able to offer parents the opportunity at short notice to attend a workshop at 3.30 pm on Monday after school to educate parents on e-safety.

On Tuesday we will be having a visit from Streetwise and having a visit from a fire engine,  they will be talking to the children about fire safety.

During the remainder of the week, the children will be learning about safety in school, crossing roads and first aid.

  • Apple Day on Wednesday

    Wed 07 Oct 2015

We are very fortunate to have Martin Audsley Storyteller in school on Wednesday for an Apple Day Workshop.  Each class will spend some of the day enjoying the apple activities and all come together at the end of the day for an Autumn Gathering.

The plan is to go out for part of the day so please can you ensure that your child has a raincoat.  We also need ‘found’ apples to help us with our learning on that day.  If you have any spare apples lying around please do bring them in.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
