• Tennis Taster Session

  This week all classes enjoyed a Tennis Taster Session with Neil Darragh from the Dorset Tennis Academy, the learnt racquet skills and how to hit a ball, everyone was sent home a letter offer a fantastic opportunity to enrol on a six week coaching course, sign up starts on the 5th April at

• Bring in a Teddy for Heart Response

  School Council have organised a ‘Bring in a Teddy’ to school day on Friday 2nd February in aid of a donation for Heart Response. This is School Councils choice for fund raising this term.

• Netball festival

  Today we took part in a Netball Festival at St Osmunds School, we started off by going around different stations practising our throwing, catching and shooting, we then played a couple of games against other DASP schools.

   

  The children were all our 7 C's throughout the morning and we were extremely proud of them.

• Basketball Festival

  We arrived for our much anticipated Basketball Festival at St Osmunds Middle School where we were playing other DASP schools. We played some great games with our usual sportsmanship and showed all our 7 C's during these games, it wasn't our best day for winning but that didn't stop the children having smiles on their faces.

   

  Well done to Will, Leo, Jacob, Sam, Charlie E, Martha, Molly and Ella, we were all proud of you!

  

• Pennies in a Bottle Reminder

• Multi Skills Festival

  Today Henry, Ella, William and Naomi took part in a Multi Skills festival at DMS, they tried these activities:

  Speed bounce

  Bean bag throwing

  Equipment race

  Basketball bounce & catch

  Big ball rolling

  Get up, get down (falling onto large crash mat)

   

  They participated with several other local primary schools, Damers, Prince of Wales. Charminster, St Mary's Catholic and Winterbourne Valley.

   

  We were so proud of all of them, they each showed all our 7 C's, especially being confident and every one of them had a huge smile on their face!

   

  

• Tag Rugby Festival

  Today we took part in a tag rugby festival at Dorchester Rugby club, we played 5 other schools from Charminster, Damers, POW, Winterbourne Valley and Manor park. We started off going around the 5 stations practising our skills and then we played against the other schools in mini games. We scored lots of tries, tagged well and came away very muddy with smiles on our faces.

   

  Jacob, Sam, Thomas, Charlie E, Will, Alex, Charlie S, Rosa, Martha and Summer were all our 7 C's and did us all proud.

  

• Cool School Weather Watchers on Radio Solent

  Yesterday Leo and Martha were confident radio stars on Solent and they each had to either give the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius, they were both fantastic and even spoke about our recent trip to Lulworth Cove!
