A Visit From Rosie the Tarantula! 

 

They might not live under the sea but they are amazing creatures! We were very lucky to have a visit from Emily's family to show us their amazing pet - Rosie the Tarantula! Rosie was very popular with most of the children and there was some great learning. There were lots of questions! We learnt that the Mummy spiders, after giving birth to their babies, try eating the Daddy so the Daddy spiders have to run away very quickly! That was my favourite fact! We also learnt what they eat and that they like to be warm.
