Pirate Dinosaur Fun!

 

Giant Class have been really enjoying the 'Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs' books written by Giles Andreae. They were delighted to find a pirate ship in the classroom this morning and were pleased to help Percy, our class parrot (puppet!) to protect the ship from pirate dinosaurs! They decided they would write some signs to keep the pirate dinosaurs away! They came up with some great ideas of things to write and eagerly went to write their signs. The children were so excited and motivated to learn and we had some amazing writing from the activity!

We will be looking at this series of books for this week, tomorrow we will be thinking of new adventures we think the pirate dinosaurs could go on, we hope to send our ideas to Giles Andreae himself!

 

In our Maths learning this week we will be learning how to add and take away, today we have been adding with bricks to build Sea Life Towers!
