First Week Back 08.09.16

Welcome to the very first weekly blog of the year. We have been very busy in our first week back after the Summer holidays,

All of the children have been getting to know each other and making new friends. It is an extremely exciting period in the life of Abbey Class and it is great to hear from the parents that the children have really enjoyed their first week. Long may it continue. The children are making a difficult transition in their school life with a new teacher, new surroundings and different routines. What is lovely to see is the positive attitude of the children and I hope that you have noticed that thus far.

The first part of the week has included team building activities, introducing structures and routines within the classroom (more to be explained next week in the parent meeting), introducing our topic for this half term and undergoing baseline assessments so I can understand the attainment within the classroom.

It has been a busy but exciting first week back. As the week’s progress, the weekly blog will update you with the children’s learning progress, including pictures of their learning which I hope will demonstrate visually the confidence they are gaining in their learning. Enjoy your weekend J
