Learning more about Roman Food 01.05.14

This week we have begun to learn more about Roman Food and write about what we have found out in a non-chronological report. We planned our ideas on a mind map and it was great to see how the children’s research skills have developed.

In Maths we have been extending our learning about Subtraction, Place Value and Money. The children have also been getting to grips with Roman Numerals and we will be continuing with this again next week.
Our Science learning has focused on what the Romans used for heating and lighting, and then comparing this with our use of Electricity. We walked around the school to find different examples of sources and uses, and then next week we will begin to investigate circuits.
