Preparing our healthy sandwiches 27.03.14

A main focus of our learning this week has been preparing for our Learning Exposure. In our Design Technology session last week, the children designed a healthy sandwich and chose their fillings. This week we followed this up in our Literacy lessons where the children wrote instructions for making a sandwich, which they then used to make the finished product during the Learning Exposure. In addition, we also recreated the fruit juice cocktails from earlier in our topic learning. As always, thank you to everyone who came to share the experience with us.
On Wednesday, we also had lots of fun taking part in the Pro-Kick football competition. All the childen were very confident about 'having a go' and they kicked up some impressive scores. We look forward to discovering how much money we have managed to raise.
On Thursday, under the guidance of Mr Christian, all of Trendle Class were able to plant a potato in our growing plot in the Peace Garden. In the Summer we will be able to continue our food adventures when we harvest, cook and taste them.
