Literacy Learning 08.05.14
Our Literacy learning this week has focused on writing our in-depth non-chronological report about Roman food. The children took time to follow their Success Steps carefully and produce some detailed and informative reports. They then shared their writing with a Learning Partner and highlighted examples of successful writing in pink, and outlined some future improvements in green.
In DT we have started designing some mosaic tiles which we will 'sell' at our Roman market in two weeks time. Ellie brought in a beautiful example, which she had made at home for her Family Project learning, and this proved very helpful when the children were creating their designs. Our 'museum' also has some fantastic shields and swords, and a lovely example of an oil lamp (which we also hope to make in class next week).
