Monkey World trip. 27.2.14
WOW, what an amazing start to the term. The children have come back really enthusiastic and ready to learn.
As you know, the children have been to Monkey World for their capture into our topic ‘Amazing Animals’ this week. The children’s learning reflected our ‘c’ values throughout the day and made the day very enjoyable. However, more importantly, the children were very communicative, they had lots of great questions to ask the staff and conscientious in independently finding out information themselves. We saw lots of monkeys and apes and the children could remember 14 types on their return!! The experience of Monkey world has really captured our interest in the animal world and we have lots of questions to explore over the half-term.

Some of us used the monkeys at Monkey World to inspire our Kenning poems that we wrote on Wednesday.
