Life Boat Centre 10.6.15
We had a trip today to the RNLI in Weymouth. It was very interesting to find out about how a life boat station runs and how the life boat crew carry out rescues.
We looked all around the lifeboat and took turns behind the wheel pretending to be the coxswain. We also looked at the equipment worn by the lifeboat crew for rescues in all weathers.
After this we went up to Nothe Fort and undertook a Pirate Treasure Hunt and a Pirate Nature Trail. We had great fun following the treasure map and finding out what bugs hid on a pirate ship. I think the best part of the day was eating the chocolate treasure!!!!
