Fantastic Phonics
On Monday we started our first phonics lesson and have continued to learn a new sound each day this week. Giant Class have been so conscientious, trying their best with the learning. We have been practising writing our letters in lots of different ways, we have been using pens, pencils, crayons, chalks, play dough, paint and whiteboard pens. Each day we have been learning a sound and action to go with our new sound and have also been listening to stories about our sounds.

Nice Numbers!
Each day this week we have had a 'Number of the Day'. We have been learning what the number looks like, how to write it and how to count actions and objects with our number. We have been counting all kinds of things including claps, taps, jumps, pencils, dinosaurs, cars and much much more!
We have been getting used to our new morning routine and Giant Class have adapting very well.
Giant Class have been enjoying digging for worms this week and were very excited to find the one below!

Giant Class have also been protecting each other from 'monsters' this week by making monster traps. They have been learning very co-operatively together.
