Week 1 - Electricity, The monster of Shiversands Cove and Viking Games,

The first week back at school for the children has been super busy with the children really trying 'to be the best they can be'

This week, Abbey class have played an ancient game of Hnefatafl as part of their Topic Exposure. They had to use their cooperation and strategic skills to master the game. Lots of fun creating and playing this game. Also, the children have started to read the book, 'The monster of Shiversands Cove'. The children have read up to Chapter 2 and they have all read with such superb expression, tone and fluency that it is really love to see. We have also started off our Science topic, which is 'Electricity'. Our budding scientists really love the experiments and investigations and I look forward to seeing what their upcoming learning.
