Beautiful Butterflies! 19.06.14

We were very lucky to be able to go on a butterfly walk with Nigel Springs on Tuesday afternoon. Giant Class loved looking for butterflies and enjoyed watching the adults try to catch them with their butterfly nets! Once the butterflies were caught we identified the butterflies and Nigel told us lots about them. To end the walk we had a lovely snack on the side of the hill in the beautiful sunshine. Thank you so much to Nigel for taking us and thank you to Mrs Macey, Mrs Emm and Mrs Shafer for joining us and being a great help.

In Literacy this week we have been learning the story ‘Dear Zoo’ and have been learning and writing describing words as well as writing sentences too. In Maths this week we have been learning how to take away and how to problem solve.
 
In choosing time, our favourite activities have been making carnival music and making up dances to go with our Brazilian Samba CD!
