Library Visit

We had a wonderful time at the library today! Giant Class were very excited to go on the mini bus to Dorchester! When we arrived at the library we were met by Mary who visited our school last week to introduce 'The Summer Reading Challenge'. Mary took us to the children's area of the library and read us a story about a library cat which the children enjoyed. After that we went on a tour of the library and even got to go in lift! The Giants loved this! We had lots more stories at the library and each got to choose a book to take back to school to borrow for a little while. We had a great visit!

After our library visit we headed to Borough Gardens and had a tasty picnic, we met a seagull there who enjoyed watching us eat our lunch! Then we went to play in the park which the Giants enjoyed a lot! We had lots of time there and it was wonderful to see the children become more confident in using the equipment and learning new skills like swinging independently, using the monkey bars and working together as a team. The Giants were all of our values and we were very proud of them!

Thank you to Mrs Elford for joining us on our trip and being a great help!
