Dragons and Gymnastics! 22.3.19

Dragons and Gymnastics! 22.3.19

This week Giant class have been reading a funny story about a dragon that keeps eating everything! We have been enjoying using our own ideas and writing about the silly things our dragons could have eaten.

We have also been continuing to look after our growing cress and beans! Our crazy cress heads have now grown very green healthy looking hair! And our beans are beginning to sprout, with the white shoots peeking out from the seed. Our cress heads are now going home with the children, as they are ready to eat! Maybe you will all enjoy an egg and cress sandwich over the weekend!

This weeks PE lesson was very exciting. When we got to the hall we found all sorts of balancing equipment and mats set out! We were very confident and willing to have a go even if we were feeling a little unsure. We travelled carefully over the larger equipment, climbing up and across and balancing along the beams. We even had a go at jumping and bouncing off the springboard! It was lots of fun! Look at the pictures of us being fantastic gymnasts!

Giant class finished the week with a lovely long welly walk to the local water meadows; we were very busy spotting pond
life and actually found a group of newts, very exciting!
