Harvest Week 9/10/2015

Following the super Harvest Celebration Trendle have had a busy week with a lot of practical topic related learning.  On Tuesday afternoon Mr Gallia brought in a variety of crops and foods, supporting our learning linking where food comes from, and the finished foods.

The next day we had a visit from Martin, the storyteller, with an Autumn flavour. The children enjoyed joining in with stories, songs and finding signs of Autumn in the school grounds.  Trees for Dorset led our learning on Thursday, with an Autumn walk looking for seeds, nuts and berries, which were planted by the children during the afternoon. They will visit us again, when the weather is warming up, to see if the seeds have germinated, so fingers crossed......

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
