First Week Back!
This week we have started our new topic Spectacular Space! We have been learning about Neil Armstrong and why he is an important figure in history. Giant Class found it very cool that he was the first man to step foot on the moon! We now have our very own rocket in Giant Class for the children to visit the moon and other planets in space! This will create lots of fun learning opportunities I'm sure! We have a space log-book for the children to record their adventures and some fantastic astronaut costumes for role play!
Everyone now has new writing targets - ask your child what theirs is and perhaps they could practise at home too! There has been some amazing writing this week - 2018 has already been full of super learning!
In Maths this week we have been learning about addition - Reception learning this for the first time! The Year Ones have been learning how to add by counting on from 10. They have also been practising writing numbers 1-10 as words.
In finger gym the children have been retrieving stars from alien slime! (otherwise know as hair gel!!!) This has been a very popular activity!
Here's to a fantastic 2018 full of fun and exciting learning!
