I Love Maths Week 28.03.13

This week we have all enjoyed 'I Love Maths Week!'

At the start of the week we talked about what we would like to learn. Giant Class said they would like to add with money, take away with money and count up to enormous numbers! So that is what we did!
We have all learnt co-operatively to create a shop where we can buy Fairtrade products. We have been taking it in turns to be the customer and the shop assistant and buying food with our money. We have also been learning what money looks like and ordering it into its value, as well as counting with 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins!

We were very lucky to have a visit from Mr. Moore who talked to us about his job as an accountant. We talked about what money is and where it comes from as well as running our own sweet shop and making a profit! We all now know how to open a sweet shop and are all keen to open one!!!  Thank you Mr. Moore.

A huge thank you to all parents who joined us for our Family Maths morning, the children had a wonderful time and we hope you enjoyed learning with us too.

Chick Chick Chick Chick Chicken!

Thank you to all of Giant Class for their fantastic performance in the Spring Assembly. A big thank you to parents for their wonderful costumes! They looked fantastic and were all super confident!

When we return after Easter we will be learning about 'Under the Sea'.

We have been very busy learners this half term, have a wonderful Easter break.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
