Wow! What a day we have had in the forest today!
We made a fire for the first time and whittled our own skewers to toast marshmallows on! We had some yummy hot chocolate to go with it too! Giant Class also made some fabulous clay models of the characters from Julia Donaldson's books, including the Gruffalo and Stickman! We enjoyed playing some team games and made some stories up using the puppets. We read the story Tyrannosaurus Drip as this is the book the children have decided to learn about this week. Giant Class enjoyed some fun dinosaur activities linked to this story.
I believe Giant Class are now very excited to learn about our new topic and they were all so pleased to be achieving new skills and learning today in the forest. Well done Giant Class!
