Exciting electricity 3.2.16
Yesterday we got our delivery of electricity boxes from DMS to use, it was very exciting! We started off discussing what appliances are run from electricity and the differences between mains electricity and battery operated. We then thought about how to stay safe around electricity coming up with a list of safety rules. THEN, we explored the electricity kits. The task was to make a light bulb light up. Some of us did this quickly, some of us found this very tricky. We learnt that for a light bulb to light up you need to have a complete circuit-
" it needs to flow all the way round..," someone said.
We ended by learning some scientific symbols so that we can draw our future circuits scientifically and design circuits for each other to make.
