Meeting real life superheroes! 30.1.23

We have had an exciting few weeks with some ‘superhero’ visitors to our classroom as well as preparing for our Superheroes Tea Party. We have had visits from Dr Stefan (GP at Cerne Abbas Surgery) and Nurse Vicky (Paediatric Nurse at Dorchester Hospital) who talked to us about their roles looking after people and helping them to get better. We had lots of fun testing out their medical equipment including stethoscopes, pulse oximeters and thermometers! We asked many interesting questions and learnt lots about what it might be like to work in a doctors surgery or hospital. We have been thinking especially about how important it is that we help each other and how lucky we are to have people in our local community who are there to help whatever the need may be.
