Welcome back! We hope you have all had a restful half term. We are excited to see some new faces joining Duckling class!
This week we have launched our new topic, ‘Nursery Rhyme Time’. We started off with ‘Twinkle twinkle little star’, linking to the night sky and firework night. We have enjoyed singing this familiar rhyme, adding actions and performing in small groups.
We have also had lots of fun thinking about fireworks! We watched a video about Bonfire Night. We talked about the colours, patterns and sounds from fireworks and about times when we have been to see firework displays with our families. We decided to make some posters to share with the other classes telling them how to keep safe on bonfire night. We have also been busy making firework patterns in glitter, making colourful firework pictures and tasty chocolate sparklers! Yum!
Next week we will be learning some more nursery rhymes, beginning to prepare for our Nursery Rhyme Challenge!
