Hugo Cabret Drawings 21.1.16
In English we have been reading the book The Invention of Hugo Cabret. The story is made up from both words and pictures and we have really enjoyed reading it. The pictures are pencil drawings with lots of shading and the author has won the Caldecott Medal for them. We decided to have a go at our own. We experimented with different types of shading, and different grades of pencil, something we have not done before. We then used the new techniques we had learnt to draw a picture of the school in the same style.
