St Mary's Church - Cerne Abbas

Cerne Abbas CE VC First School has very close links with our local church in Cerne Abbas. The vicar is called Jonathan Still and he the school's Ex Officio Foundation Governor.

We go to church to celebrate certain times of the year such as Harvest, Christmas and Easter. We also hold our Leaver's Service here and Jonathan leads our Collective Worship once a term in the church building.

It is a beautiful building and the children visit it as part of their learning, particularly RE lessons.

We also had the privilege of singing a song to the members of the community when the village celebrated the auction of 1919, in September 2019.
