Trip to the Jurassic Coast 22.03.13

We had a wonderful day on Wednesday with Spring like weather. Gill Copson, Thomas Hardye Outreach Teacher, led Abbey Class on our geography field trip to Ringstead Bay, Osmington and Newton's Cove in Weymouth.

At Ringstead beach we saw evidence of how sea levels have changed, by what we found on the cliffs.

Later on at Newton's Cove we were looking for and identifying creatures for our 'welly zone' survey. We were doing the survey for the Dorset Wildlife trust to see if the climate was changing. We found some interesting specimens and it was great fun learning.

Mrs Crisford would like to thank Gill, Mandy Jones, Robert Christian and Jon Absalom who accompanied our trip and helped transport the children.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
