Shadows 12.2.14

In the last week of term we have spent lots of time preparing our scripts and shadow puppet plays to show you in our learning exposure. The children have been so co-operative and communicative in both performing their plays, and watching and considering each other’s plays.

On Monday, we took the chance we had with the sun, stopped everything, and went into the playground to investigate our shadows. We measured them at different times in the day, and some of us were very surprised that our shadows had moved. We discovered that our shadows move because the earth is constantly spinning and as it spins the sun is in a different position in the sky.

On Tuesday we had some little visitors into the playground, very cute and lots of fun-Spring has arrived in Cerne Abbas school!!!
