Giant Class Caterpillars! 15.05.14

Our caterpillars have arrived! They came in the post (Who would have thought this was possible?!) and they are settling into Giant Class very well! We are very excited to be able to watch them grow. Please feel free to come and meet them!

We had a fire drill this week – Mrs Ryan came up to Giant Class afterwards and gave everyone a sticker for such a quick and silent exit. This was a great improvement on the last fire drill which is great news because we can all keep each other safe. Giant Class were so brave and co-operative – well done Giants!

This week in Literacy, we have been busy finishing off our ‘Very Hungry…’ stories. When we finished them we had some visitors to Giant Class to read our stories to! Our buddies from year 4 came to read our stories and listen to us read them. Giant Class found this very exciting and their buddies were amazed by their confident writing.
In Maths this week we have had lots of fun learning about sharing and halving. We have been halving all sorts of things including cookies! (not real ones sadly!)

In our choosing time we have been busy making bugs in the creative area, writing bug books in the writing corner, making real mini beast homes, singing songs, sorting fiction and non-fiction books and lots more!
We have also had a wonderful morning with Pre School today. Giant Class were caring and co-operative and everyone had a wonderful time!

Miss Cook

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
