Autumn 1 Learning

Abbey class have settled in incredibly well since their return to school and have been super in learning all of the new routines and coping with all of the adjustments that have occurred. This half term has been full of learning and the attitude of the children has been fantastic, they have worked so hard.

We have.... studied the text ‘Sandman and the turtles’, looked at the basic fundamentals of football, focused on joined up handwriting, listened to the daily news daily (especially important in this current climate), took a trip to the river to draw the scenic surroundings, rehearsed and performed a French song with Mrs Ferguson, virtually performed a Harvest prayer for the parents, concentrated on ‘place value’ in maths, worked together to practise our spellings, became superstars in understanding about the life of a plant and most importantly, especially in a time of need, showed others the art of friendship.
