Week 7 - Apollo landing, Reflection Day and a Sponsored walk!

Abbey class have had a fantastic week! Not only did they have a super sponsored walk along the Weymouth esplanade but they had a very thoughtful and inspiring Reflective day when they were learning about the story of Peter and Jesus walking on water. Moreover, Abbey's topic learning culminated in learning about traditional Celtic dyes. Using natural resources (blueberries, mint, onions, beetroot to name a few) the children painted traditional Celtic knots with their parents guidance and support. Everybody loved the challenge of painting and drawing this intricate designs! Well done everybody! Also, the children had their violin concert in the village hall. Several weeks of learning some very complicated music pieces resulted in a very confident performance in front of some very proud parents.
