Thank you for the Music (and a Learning Exposure!) 23.05.13

This week we have been very creative with our learning keeping our eye towards Down Under! but specifically looking at musical instruments linked to that continent.  We were exploring Aboriginal music with the instruments we have and looking at the strutures and rhythms associated with them!
We also performed with Glyn Bush our specialist DASP Music Partnership teacher who has provided 1-1 guitar lessons for some of our children to enrich and extend their development in instrument playing. Some of the year 3's have also had the opportunity to learn the clarinet with the Dorset Music Service!
On Thursday Abbey Class had our Learning Exposure for this half term. We shared all our Down Under learning: artworks, models, waterpaintings, music, cultural Aboriginal stories and Word Cover designs. Phew... a busy half term. Thank goodness we have a break!

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
