Fossil hunting in Charmouth 15.9.15
What an amazing day fossiling. The weather forecast was set to be horrendous, but we thought we would brave it, and we were glad we did as the sun shone and not a single drop of rain!
We had an interesting talk on fossils including why so many in Charmouth, what we could expect to find and what to look for.
We trekked along the beach and within minutes we were finding fossils upon the sand (all that rain paid off!). Some of us found fossils really easily, some of us had to be much more conscientious which was difficult.
We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came back with pockets full of treasure to sketch and research.
