Week 2
Here is the lowdown on Abbey's week at school!
Our English unit at the moment is 'Persuasive Writing'. They have been looking at a persuasive text based on recruitment during the First World War!
The children are learning the text with the outcome being that they produce their own piece of persuasive writing. They have been orally learning the text in the last couple of days with the support of actions for some of the words. Understanding the language used and the features which make it successful is important at this stage of their learning.
To consolidate their knowledge further, they have also been building crafted 'Mark 1' WW1 Tanks in topic. Great fun was had by all!
