On our first week back into school and our new topic 'Shipwrecks and Smugglers' we have been answering one of the Abbey Class' questions- What shipwrecks have happened off our coast?

We researched different shipwrecks on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday we had local historian Philip Browne come to talk to us about a shipwreck he has researched near Swanage. We were reminded of our values, but we did not need be as we listened avidly to the terrible tale. We listened so well that we could all retell the story with exceptional detail today- fantastic.

Some of us then went on to draw pictures in charcoal and pencil of what we thought the shipwreck would have looked like. Fantastic drawings.
