Week 1 - Welcome back

The children of Abbey class have settled really well and have enjoyed the first few days back at school. There has been numerous routines and expectations to learn but everyone has worked really hard and are trying to be the best they can be.

The highlight of the week has been helping out re-chalking the Cerne Giant, especially his face', in partnership with the National Trust. The children worked really hard in tricky conditions! They helped to sweep away and move old chalk as well as hammer in new chalk. They all loved the experience and can say to themselves every time they look at the Cerne Giant, 'I helped do his face!'
