Wild weather in Dorset! 23.01.14

This week the children have got really stuck into their weather topic. In literacy we have identified the features of a newspaper report and then written our own report about the resent wild weather in Dorset. Lots of us decided to write about how the weather has affected our school (the flood in the corridor!). Please come and look at the newspaper reports that are on our learning wall.

In design technology we have investigated how air pressure can make things move. We have made our own pneumatic systems with syringes and tubing and experimented with what we can make move. This week we have designed moving toys for younger children using a pneumatic system, which we will be making next week.
