A Fun Week of Learning!

 

In Maths this week we have been learning about taking away! Giant Class have been so confident! We have been taking away with lots of different things including blocks, cookies and cakes (Pretend ones unfortunately! Ones for Red Riding Hood to take to Grandma's house!) and other objects from around the classroom including dinosaurs.

 

In Phonics we have learnt our last few sounds for the time being...we will be practising these sounds by reading and writing with them. Most of us have been writing and reading words, whilst some of us have been writing captions and sentences including these sounds. Giant Class are really gaining in confidence in their phonics. Well done Giants!

 

We have been enjoying our learning about Little Red Riding Hood this week and have discussed which story we would like to learn about next week. Giant Class voted and decided that they would like to learn the story of Jack and the Beanstalk! We are all very excited! This topic has been very popular!
