Sporting fun 17.5.13
In our Literacy learning this week we have begun making information texts. One is 'All About Meerkats' and is linked to our topic story 'Meerkat Mail'. We are also making good use of the photos that we took at Abbotsbury Gardens to make our own Guide books. We hope to share some of this learning with you on Tuesday afternoon at 2.45pm.
On Wednesday we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of 'Potted Sports' with Mr Daley and his fantastic team of Sports Leaders from Dorchester Middle School. The children spent time perfecting different skills such as skipping, throwing and aiming accurately. sprinting and testing their speed dexterity. They then tried all the activities for a second time to see if they could improve their performances. A big 'thank you' to Mr Daley and his team for organising this.
Next week we look forward to continuing our learning on information texts, and also working creatively to compose some music to represent a plant growing using some of our home-made shakers.
