Seeds and berries 26.09.13
Trendle Class have had another busy week of learning.We have continued focusing on following and writing instructions, and we are now close to completing our model roundhouses. In our computer session, we have also had great fun using Colour Magic to create our own tartan designs.
On Tuesday, we had a wonderful day with the Trees for Dorset team who took us on a walk aound Cerne Abbas to look for Autumn seeds and berries. Afterwards, we spent time sorting and classifying our finds and we are now much better at recognising a lot more of the trees in our environment. In the afternoon, all the children had the chance to plant a seed or berry which will be nurtured until they reach Year 4, when it will be planted in the park across the road.
Next week we have lots more excitement lined up, including some Celtic cooking. We will also be writing some 'Thanksgiving' prayers to share with you at the Harvest Festival service in October.
