Visit from the School Nurse

Today we had a visit from our School Nurse, who came in to teach us about healthy foods, linked to our topic - Fantastic Food. We all took part in an activity where we learnt what we should have to eat in a typical meal. We sorted the foods into the different categories such as fruits and vegetables and carbohydrates. The children were very engaged in this activity and helped the School Nurse to sort the different foods. They were very confident and communicative, joining in. Then we all went into smaller groups and we each got to make our own healthy plate of food using the foods we had sorted into their categories. Giant Class made some very healthy choices - well done! Giant Class also took part in lots of other food themed activities today including making a healthy plate of food on the creative table using tissue paper to make their foods, sorting our toy foods into healthy and unhealthy foods and drawing their favourite foods on the computer.

Parents of Giant Class - you will have such a lovely time at our Learning Exposure on Thursday (20th October) seeing all of the Giant's brilliant learning!
