Palaeontologists, PE and Pancakes! 06.03.14

This week Mr Christian came in to show us some fossils from his collection. We loved seeing all of them and we got to touch them too.  Mr Christian also showed us photos from his trip to Canada where he went to look at the ‘Badlands’ where there are lots of fossils. The children were very courteous and listened beautifully to what Mr Christian said.
We are all very excited to have Mr Duffy (from DASP Sports Provision) teaching us for PE this half term. We had a great first session with him where we learnt how to move in lots of different ways without bumping into each other!
In Literacy we have been designing our own ‘Dangerous Dinosaurs’ and describing them. Some children have been writing pancake recipes for Miss Cook so that she knew how to make them on Pancake Day!
In Maths this week we have been learning how to use number lines and how to add with dinosaurs.
The children have been making some great dinosaurs out of Duplo, dinosaur 'rides' and have been making a ‘dinosaur land’ too.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
