Harvest Festival 10.10.13

This week we have continued to focus on finding out more about the life of the Celts. In our Literacy sessions we have moved on to looking at information texts and identifying their features. Having considered these, we are using our new knowledge to make our own information texts about the Celts which we are looking forward to sharing with you at our Learning Exposure on Tuesday 22nd October at 2.45pm.

In our Art session, the children enjoyed using clay to make their own Celtic torc. Next week we will be customising these with 'gold' paint and other adornments.

Also on the subject of 'Celtic Creations', I would like to say a big 'thank you' for the fantastic Family Home Learning Projects that we have received so far. It has been wonderful to share the supportive contributions that you have made to your children's learning.

Finally. it was great to see so many of you at our Harvest Festival Service on Tuesday. Thank you for helping to make our 'big, red combine harvester' so successful by sending the children to school in their red clothes. It really did add to the occasion.

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
