An exciting week for us all! 28.06.13

Sports Day

Well done to Giant Class for all being such good 'sports' during sports day especially as it was their first one! You were all very co-operative in your teams and all tried your best.

Forest School and Butterfly day!

We spent the day with Abbey Class which was a real treat for us! We had a fantastic morning at Forest School, a huge thank you to Maddie Irvine and Julia Quinn. We all got involved with lighting fires, making charcoal, writing with different natural resources and tasting elderflower cordial. Miss. Cook was very proud of Giant Class for their couteous behaviour and for being confident and co-operative learners.

After lunch, we went to learn with Nigel, a moth and butterfly expert. We all had the opportunity to go 'river dipping' to scoop out creatures living in the river and to look at what had been scooped up. After our 'river dipping' we then went on a butterfly walk where Giant Class captured butterflies and identified them with Nigel's help. They walked a very long way, well done Giants!

A positive, purposeful and enthusiastic atmosphere
